How to Put Together a 2 Week Capsule Wardrobe with Only 10 Pieces
Have you ever seen those challenges where someone gets rid of or packs up all of their clothing and spends months only using their capsule wardrobe? I have always admired the commitment (and organization) you need to do one of those challenges, but never got around to doing my own because it felt too overwhelming.
This was my solution: 2 weeks of work outfits from 10 pieces of clothing. I do have to say that having my outfits planned out beforehand has made my mornings so much smoother because I don’t stand in my towel for 20 minutes trying to pick out what to wear. It has also made it feel like more of a “work uniform,” that I don’t have to be so worried about getting dirty.
Here are a couple of perimeters I set:
By only focusing on work outfits, I eliminated the need to include workout clothes and pajamas.
I did not include accessories just because I only have a few staples anyways. This meant that I still wore a belt and a set of simple earrings without counting them in my 10 items of clothing.
Here are the two weeks of outfits I came up with:
There are more combinations I could have done, but I am ready to trade these items for another set of clothing I have. I liked doing this so much that I am going to come up with a new capsule wardrobe every couple of weeks!
